All Bulgarian tourists in Nepal and Tibet are safe following the floods
A group of 15 Bulgarian tourists currently located in the Mount Kailash region of Tibet are completely safe. The news was confirmed following concerns raised by the severe flooding that has affected the region in recent days.
Over the past week, Nepal and surrounding areas were hit by torrential rains that triggered massive floods and landslides. The natural disaster caused serious damage to infrastructure and hindered the movement of thousands of people in the region.
The Bulgarian citizens were on an organized tour of the sacred Mount Kailash when the disaster began. At present, there is no information regarding any injured Bulgarians, and the tourists have managed to maintain contact with their loved ones and the trip organizers.
The situation in the region remains complex due to blocked roads, but the Bulgarian authorities are closely monitoring the development of events. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that all Bulgarian citizens currently in the affected areas strictly follow the instructions of local authorities and rescue teams.
