Minister Ivkova withdraws complaint against the CPC regarding the children's hospital
Minister of Health Galya Kondeva-Ivkova has taken an important step regarding the project for the construction of a national children's hospital. She has officially withdrawn the complaint filed by the ministry to the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC).
The decision is related to the public procurement procedure for selecting a contractor to prepare the design for the future medical facility. Previously, the ministry had objections regarding the procedure, which were submitted for review by the antitrust authority.
The withdrawal of the complaint aims to accelerate administrative processes. The construction of a specialized children's hospital is a long-awaited project that is of critical importance for improving pediatric care in Bulgaria.
This move is expected to allow the contractor selection process to proceed without further legal obstacles. The Ministry of Health emphasizes that the priority remains ensuring modern and accessible medical care for children in the country.
The public and health experts are closely monitoring the development of the project, as the creation of a national children's hospital is a key commitment for the state. It remains to be seen what the next steps for the realization of the facility will be.
