More and more Bulgarians are shopping online in 2025
In 2025, online commerce in Bulgaria is seeing significant growth. According to the latest data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), more than half of Bulgarians – exactly 51.2% – have made at least one purchase via the internet.
This statistic shows that digital services are becoming an increasingly preferred way to shop in the country. Consumers appreciate the convenience of ordering goods directly from their homes, without the need to visit physical stores. The trend is sustainable and shows that the number of online shoppers continues to increase with each passing year.
Despite the high level of interest, experts point out that logistics remains a major challenge for the sector. Fast and secure delivery of orders is a key factor in customer satisfaction. Companies that want to remain competitive must invest more in their courier services and warehouse facilities.
Interest in e-commerce is expected to continue growing in the future. For Bulgarian merchants, this is an opportunity to reach more customers, but also a responsibility to improve the quality of service in order to meet the high expectations of consumers.
