Bulgaria modernizes its defense with new 3D radars
The Council of Ministers of Bulgaria has taken an important step towards the modernization of the armed forces. The government has submitted a proposal for the ratification of a contract for the purchase of seven new 3D radars, which will improve the country's airspace surveillance capabilities.
The new equipment is essential for national security. The modern systems will allow the army to track the movement of objects in the sky more precisely and react faster to potential threats. This is part of the state's long-term plan to upgrade military equipment in accordance with NATO standards.
The project includes not only the delivery of the radars themselves but also the provision of the necessary technical support and training for the personnel who will operate them. The new technologies are expected to replace the outdated systems currently in use and provide a higher level of protection for the Bulgarian sky.
The National Assembly is set to review and vote on the purchase agreement. Once the deal is officially approved, the process of delivering and installing the radars at key locations across the country will begin. This move is another step towards strengthening Bulgaria's defense capabilities in the context of the dynamic international situation.
