Montreal Self-Serve Bakery Targeted by Vandals Again
A popular self-serve bakery in Montreal has been vandalized for the second time. Early Wednesday morning, unknown individuals smashed the front windows of the shop, causing significant damage to the storefront.
This bakery is known for its unique business model, which allows customers to serve themselves and pay using automated technology. However, the store has recently become a target for people who oppose the use of this technology in retail spaces.
Following the incident, the perpetrators left a message at the scene. The note expressed strong opposition to the store's reliance on automated systems. Local authorities are currently investigating the situation to determine who is responsible for the vandalism.
This event has sparked a conversation in the community about the balance between modern technology and traditional customer service. While many residents enjoy the convenience of the self-serve model, others are concerned about how automation is changing the local business landscape.
Police are asking anyone with information or security camera footage from the area to come forward. For now, the bakery remains focused on repairing the damage and continuing its operations despite the recent challenges.
