Canada Pledges New Military Support for Ukraine During Zelenskyy Visit
Canadian officials announced a new package of military support for Ukraine this Thursday. The commitment was made during a high-profile visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who met with Canadian leaders to discuss the ongoing conflict and the country's defense needs.
The new aid package focuses on two critical areas: strengthening Ukraine’s air defense systems and replenishing its supply of drones. These tools are considered essential for Ukraine as it continues to protect its territory and infrastructure from aerial attacks.
Beyond the immediate military equipment, the visit served to reinforce the strong diplomatic ties between Ottawa and Kyiv. Both nations pledged to deepen their cooperation, with Canada reaffirming its long-term commitment to supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and security in the face of international challenges.
This announcement highlights Canada's continued role in the international effort to assist Ukraine. As the conflict continues, the Canadian government has signaled that it will remain a key partner in providing the necessary resources to help Ukraine defend itself effectively.
