X Games to Bring World-Class Action Sports to Calgary in 2027
Calgary is set to become the center of the action sports world in early 2027. WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park has been officially selected to host the X Games, a major international event featuring top athletes in freestyle skiing, snowboarding, and other extreme sports.
The event is scheduled to take place from February 19 to February 21, 2027. Organizers announced the news on Monday morning, sparking significant excitement among both professional athletes and sports fans across the country.
Canada Olympic Park, which previously hosted events during the 1988 Winter Olympics, is considered an ideal location for the competition. The venue is well-equipped to handle the high-level jumps, rails, and courses required for the X Games, ensuring a challenging environment for the world’s best competitors.
Local officials and the athletic community believe this event will provide a major boost to the city. By hosting such a high-profile competition, Calgary expects to attract thousands of visitors and showcase its winter sports facilities to a global audience.
As the countdown to 2027 begins, organizers will start working on the logistics and infrastructure needed to support the games. For Canadian fans, the event offers a rare opportunity to see world-renowned athletes compete on home soil.
