Czech team CZERT EMT 1: Top-tier assistance in crisis situations
University Hospital Brno has introduced its specialized team called the Czech Emergency Response Team, abbreviated as CZERT EMT 1. This team is prepared to provide expert medical assistance in areas affected by disasters or in places where the healthcare system is overwhelmed or non-functional.
The unit focuses on a wide spectrum of medical fields. It includes experts in surgery and traumatology who are capable of treating serious injuries. Furthermore, the team possesses specialists in internal medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics, which allows for the provision of comprehensive care in challenging field conditions.
The team also includes pediatricians who ensure care for child patients, as well as experts in intensive care medicine. Thanks to this composition, CZERT EMT 1 is able to function as a full-fledged mobile hospital that can respond to various types of health crises, whether in the Czech Republic or abroad.
