Czech automotive industry is growing: Car production reached record numbers in half a year
The Czech Republic has confirmed its position as a strong player in the automotive industry. In the first six months of this year, domestic automakers produced a total of 780,000 passenger vehicles. This figure confirms that the sector is thriving and that car production remains a key pillar of the Czech economy.
An interesting trend is the gradual increase in the share of more eco-friendly vehicles. An increasing number of manufactured cars consist of models with electric or hybrid powertrains. This shift aligns with the pan-European strategy aimed at the gradual reduction of emissions and the transition to cleaner mobility.
Production is primarily focused on exports abroad, but cars made in the Czech Republic are also popular among domestic drivers. Automakers are currently facing high demand, and are therefore investing in new technologies and the modernization of their production lines to keep pace with the competition.
