The National Institute of Public Health has published research results on pneumococcal vaccination
The National Institute of Public Health (SZÚ) has introduced a new publication that summarizes key research activities for the year 2025. The main theme of the report is the assessment of the impact of vaccines on public health and the development of modern diagnostic methods in the Czech Republic.
One of the main points of the research is an analysis of the effectiveness of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines. Experts focused on the global impact these vaccines have on the incidence of invasive pneumococcal diseases. The goal of the study was to determine how effectively vaccination protects different age groups from serious health complications.
In addition to vaccination, the institute also focused on technological progress in laboratories. Researchers worked on improving digital PCR technology, which allows for more accurate and faster detection of microorganisms. This method is essential for modern medicine, as it helps doctors better diagnose infectious diseases.
The published results confirm that Czech research is keeping pace with global trends in the field of public health. The work of the National Institute of Public Health thus contributes not only to protecting the health of the Czech population but also to the international sharing of important scientific knowledge.
