Czechia invests billions into modern technologies and chip development
The Czech Republic is preparing for a significant investment in the field of modern technologies. Thanks to financial support from European funds, the state can release up to 2.15 billion CZK, which will be directed toward research and development in key sectors.
The main goal of this investment is to strengthen the domestic industry in the fields of semiconductors, microelectronics, and chip development. These technologies are currently considered the fundamental building blocks of the modern digital economy, and their availability is essential for the competitiveness of the entire nation.
In addition to chip production, the funds will also focus on supporting the development of next-generation networks, specifically 6G technology. Through this step, the state expects not only technological progress but also the creation of new jobs and the support of innovation in Czech companies and research centers.
Experts agree that this support comes at the right time. The European Union is striving to reduce its dependence on technology imports from abroad, and thanks to these investments, Czechia could become an important player in the European market.
The entire project is expected to contribute to the better digitalization of Czech society in the coming years and strengthen the resilience of the domestic industry against global fluctuations. The government is currently preparing specific rules according to which companies and institutions will be able to apply for these subsidies.
