Europe is building its own space shuttle: Czech companies are also involved in its production
The European space industry is preparing an ambitious project that will change the way we travel to space. It involves the development of a new type of space shuttle that can be used repeatedly. This project is key for the entire European Union, and experts and companies from the Czech Republic also play a very important role in it.
The new spacecraft is named Space Rider. Unlike conventional rockets, which are destroyed after launch, this machine will return safely to Earth after completing its mission. Thanks to this technology, space flights can be repeated, which will significantly save money and materials. In orbit, the shuttle will primarily serve scientific research and the testing of new materials in microgravity conditions.
Several Czech companies and universities are participating in the production of this unique machine. Czech engineers were tasked with manufacturing important components without which the shuttle could not function properly. This cooperation confirms that Czech technologies are of a high standard globally and that our experts can compete with the best on an international scale.
The success of the Space Rider project will mean greater independence for Europe in space travel. For the Czech Republic, it is also a great opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities in modern industry and science.
