Czechia to Host the 2026 U18 Rugby European Championship
The Czech Republic is preparing for a significant sporting event. In 2026, our country will host the European Rugby Sevens (Rugby 7s) Championship in the under-18 category. This news has delighted not only sports fans but also the young prospects of Czech rugby.
Rugby 7s is a modern and very fast variant of traditional rugby. Only seven players face each other on the field, and matches last for a shorter time. This makes the game very dynamic and attractive to spectators. In recent years, this sport has been gaining more and more fans in Czechia.
Hosting such a tournament is a great opportunity for the Czech Rugby Union. It helps promote the sport among children and youth. At the same time, it confirms that the Czech Republic has high-quality facilities and experience in organizing international sporting events at a high level.
The Czech under-18 national team players are already beginning to prepare for the home championship. Playing in front of a home crowd is a huge motivation for young athletes. The tournament is expected to attract thousands of spectators who will come to support the home team in matches against the best European selections.
The 2026 European Championship will be a celebration of sport and team spirit. Exact dates and venues for the matches will be announced later. For Czech rugby, it will be a historic moment that can inspire a new generation of players.
