Czech Republic experiences record-warm night, temperatures did not drop below 27 degrees

The Czech Republic is currently grappling with extremely high temperatures that have affected almost the entire country. Meteorologists have recorded a new historical value that has surpassed previous long-standing records. According to available data, last night was the warmest ever measured in the Czech Republic.

This extreme phenomenon occurred at the meteorological station in Bystřice pod Hostýnem. The temperature there did not drop below 27.9 degrees Celsius during the night. This value is highly unusual, as nighttime temperatures are typically significantly lower than daytime ones.

The previous record from 2013 was surpassed by this result by nearly 0.7 degrees Celsius. Such high nighttime temperatures, technically referred to as tropical nights, place a significant strain on the human body because it cannot sufficiently recover from the daytime heat while sleeping.

In connection with the heatwave, experts recommend that residents maintain a proper fluid intake and limit physical activity during the afternoon hours. The current situation confirms the trend of rising average temperatures that meteorologists have been observing in the Czech Republic over the long term in recent years.
