Czech Republic invests billions in modern technologies and chip development
The Czech Republic plans to support the development of modern technologies with an amount exceeding two billion crowns. These funds will be drawn from European funds and are aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Czech industry in the field of innovation.
The main focus of the investment is the development and production of semiconductors, microelectronics, and modern chips. These components are essential today for the functioning of most electronic devices, from smartphones to automobiles, the production of which is crucial for the Czech economy.
In addition to chips, the state will also focus on supporting research into next-generation networks, specifically 6G technology. The goal is to ensure that Czech companies and research centers keep pace with global technological progress and can participate in international projects.
Supporting modern technologies is intended to help reduce dependence on foreign supplies and strengthen the country's technological self-sufficiency. The investments should also support the creation of new jobs in technical fields and attract more experts to the Czech Republic.
The entire project is part of a broader European strategy that seeks to strengthen digital transformation across EU member states. It is expected that the first calls for grant applicants will be announced in the near future.
