Czech Republic faces heatwave: Meteorologists warn of high temperatures
The Czech Republic is preparing for the arrival of very hot weather, which will affect most of the territory. Meteorologists have issued a warning because temperatures in the coming days will significantly exceed the normal values for this period. Experts recommend that residents limit physical activity and ensure sufficient fluid intake.
Experts expect the greatest health risk primarily in the southeast of the country. Specifically, this concerns the South Moravian, Zlín, and Olomouc regions. In these regions, high temperatures will place the greatest strain on the human body, which is why an increased level of alert has been declared there.
High temperatures can be dangerous, especially for seniors, children, and people with chronic health problems. Doctors advise avoiding direct sunlight between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and seeking out shaded areas. It is also important not to forget about pets, which should not be left in closed cars or in direct sunlight without access to water.
Meteorologists will continue to monitor the situation and will issue updated warnings if necessary. Residents should regularly check the weather forecast and the recommendations of the authorities to prevent health complications associated with the extreme heat.
