New Czech Murmus system protects against drones, first units head to the Middle East
The Czech Republic is becoming an important player in the field of modern defense technologies. The company Czechia Systems, part of the S-Tech group, recently introduced a new anti-drone system called Murmus. This comprehensive system was created in Rokycany, and its main task is to protect important objects and people from dangerous drones.
The Murmus system is exceptional primarily for its mobility and modularity. This means it can be easily transported to various locations and customized according to the customer's specific needs. The device can not only detect drones in time but also effectively jam their signal, thereby preventing them from continuing their flight or potential attack.
There is great interest in the new Czech technology abroad as well. The company will deliver the first finished systems to Middle Eastern countries, where the demand for security is currently very high. According to company representatives, this contract is proof that Czech innovations have a great reputation worldwide and can compete with large international firms.
Protection against drones is a very topical subject today. Unmanned aerial vehicles are increasingly used not only in modern conflicts but can also pose a threat to civilian airports, power plants, or other parts of critical infrastructure. The development of such systems directly in the Czech Republic increases national security while supporting domestic industry.
The success of the Murmus project confirms the high level of Czech engineering and technical education. Developers from Rokycany plan to continue improving the system so it can respond to increasingly modern types of drones. Thus, the Czech Republic is strengthening its position in the global market for security and military equipment.
