Czech experts have developed a new anti-drone system: Murmus is set to protect critical infrastructure

The Czech Republic has taken a significant step in the field of security. Experts from domestic companies have introduced the first Czech anti-drone system called Murmus. This device is designed to timely detect and subsequently neutralize dangerous drones that could threaten important facilities, such as airports, power plants, or military bases.

The Murmus system operates on the principle of detecting the radio signals used by operators to control drones. Once the system identifies a foreign craft, it can disrupt its communication and force it to land or depart from the protected area. This technology is very important because the number of attacks using cheap and easily accessible drones has been growing worldwide in recent years.

Developers point out that although the Murmus system is ready for deployment, the rest of Europe is not yet sufficiently prepared for such threats. Many European countries still lack clear rules or the necessary technologies to protect their airspace from small unmanned aerial vehicles. The Czech project could thus serve as a model for other countries within the European Union.

Experts are now negotiating the possibilities of testing the system in real-world operations. The goal is to ensure that Murmus is fully compatible with European security standards. If the tests are successful, this system could become a key element of Czech defense against modern aerial threats in the near future.
