Watch out for the weather: Strong storms with hail to hit the Czech Republic
The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) has issued a warning regarding adverse weather. Starting from Thursday afternoon, strong storms are expected across most of the Czech Republic, which may be accompanied by intense rain.
According to meteorologists, people must prepare for gusty winds and torrential rainfall. In some areas, hail may also fall, reaching sizes of up to two centimeters. These phenomena can cause local flooding in low-lying areas or complications in traffic.
Experts recommend monitoring the current weather development on the institute's website or in the media. People should secure loose objects on gardens and balconies that could be blown away or damaged by strong winds.
The situation will develop throughout Thursday and Friday. Meteorologists will continuously update the warnings as the storm front moves across Czech territory. Residents should be careful when outdoors and avoid areas where there is a risk of falling branches or trees.
