Czech automotive industry grows: Over 780,000 vehicles produced in the first half of the year
The Czech automotive industry is confirming its strong position in the economy. According to the latest data, Czech automakers produced a total of 780,378 passenger cars in the first half of this year. Compared to the same period last year, this represents an increase of 4.4 percent.
Behind this success is primarily the stabilization of supply chains, which had been plagued by shortages of chips and other components in previous years. Automakers can now focus fully on production and meeting demand in both domestic and foreign markets.
An important part of total production is the ever-growing share of vehicles with alternative powertrains. Manufacturers are increasingly focusing on electric vehicles and hybrid models, which align with current European trends in ecology and emission reduction.
Positive results for the first six months of the year indicate that the sector is performing well. If this trend continues into the second half of the year, the Czech automotive sector could achieve very strong annual results, which are crucial for the Czech economy.
