Watch out for the weather: A cold front and severe thunderstorms to hit the Czech Republic
The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has issued a warning regarding a change in weather that will affect the entire territory of the Czech Republic in the coming hours. A wavy cold front is moving over our territory, which will bring a significant drop in temperatures and dangerous meteorological phenomena.
According to the forecast, the first thunderstorms will appear as early as the second half of the night into Thursday, primarily in the northwestern parts of Bohemia. Throughout the day on Thursday, thunderstorm activity will gradually spread to other regions of the country, with meteorologists not ruling out the occurrence of severe thunderstorms.
Experts warn that the storms may be accompanied by torrential rain, wind gusts, and occasionally even hail. These phenomena can cause local complications in traffic or short-term rises in the water levels of smaller streams. People should therefore monitor current warnings and adapt their plans to outdoor conditions.
The situation will develop throughout Thursday, so it is advisable to check the weather forecast regularly. If you are planning travel or outdoor activities, be cautious and prepare for the rapid weather changes that the cold front brings.
