Czech Republic to be hit by a strong heatwave: Meteorologists warn of high temperatures
The Czech Republic is preparing for the arrival of a new heatwave, which according to meteorologists will be very strong and long-lasting. Extreme temperatures will primarily affect the south and southeast of Moravia, where the mercury will regularly climb well above the 30 °C mark.
The situation will be particularly challenging due to so-called tropical nights. In these areas, temperatures do not drop below 20 °C even during the night hours, which means that the human body cannot get enough rest from the heat. High temperatures thus place a strain on the body, especially for the elderly and children.
Experts recommend that residents limit physical activity and exposure to direct sunlight during the hottest parts of the day. It is also important to maintain a regular drinking regimen and ensure sufficient hydration. Indoors, it is advisable to use window shading and ventilate regularly during the morning or evening hours.
Meteorologists will continue to monitor weather developments and will issue further warnings if necessary. Residents should follow current forecasts and adjust their plans accordingly for the coming days, as hot weather will persist in the Czech Republic.
