The Czech Crown Jewels are once again on display at Prague Castle
Prague Castle has opened its gates to the public to showcase one of the most significant symbols of Czech statehood – the Czech Crown Jewels. This rare treasure is on display in the Vladislav Hall, where visitors can come to view the historic St. Wenceslas Crown and other royal insignia. The exhibition is attracting great interest from the public as well as tourists from all over the world.
Part of the current events at Prague Castle also includes a commemoration of the legacy of the first Czech president, Václav Havel. Experts are focusing in particular on his specific relationship with architecture and the way in which he transformed the castle's spaces during his term in office. Havel sought to open the castle to the people and make it a modern and accessible place, which has influenced its current appearance.
In addition to historical topics, Czech society is also focusing on current projects aimed at the younger generation. One of these is a campaign that motivates children to walk to school. This project aims to promote a healthy lifestyle for children while simultaneously reducing traffic density in the vicinity of school buildings during the morning hours.
The current program at Prague Castle thus connects the rich history of the Czech state with modern topics that influence the daily lives of the inhabitants of the Czech Republic. The exhibition of the crown jewels remains the main attraction for visitors, serving as a reminder of our country's traditions and cultural heritage.
