The European Union launches a campaign for healthier plants and a better environment
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has launched a new awareness campaign titled #PlantHealth4Life. The goal of this initiative is to highlight to the general public the vital role that healthy plants play in our daily lives and in the overall stability of ecosystems.
Plant health directly affects the quality of the food we consume and influences the economic stability of agriculture throughout the European Union, including the Czech Republic. The campaign focuses on preventing the spread of pests and diseases that can threaten crops, forests, and urban greenery.
Experts emphasize that every citizen can contribute to the protection of plants through responsible behavior. This includes, for example, being cautious when importing plants from abroad, where dangerous organisms may be hidden, or taking proper care of one's own garden and the surrounding nature.
The #PlantHealth4Life campaign will take place in many EU member states and will offer practical advice on how to protect biodiversity. The information is intended to help people better understand that healthy plants are the foundation for a healthy planet and secure food sources for future generations.
