Mistake on new Litvínov municipal police car amuses the internet
The Litvínov Municipal Police received a new service vehicle last week. Instead of regular operation, however, the car became the center of attention on social media. The reason was a curious error in the decal, which was noticed by observant passersby and internet users.
A grammatical error appeared in the "Městská policie" (Municipal Police) inscription on the side of the vehicle. Instead of the correct Czech name, an incorrect version was used on the car, which looked very unprofessional. Photos of the vehicle quickly began to spread across the internet and sparked a wave of amused reactions among the public.
Representatives of the Litvínov town hall and the municipal police reacted quickly to the situation. They stated that it was a mistake by the supplier company that prepared the decals for the car. The city leadership emphasized that the vehicle had not yet been officially put into service at the time the photos were taken.
The incorrect inscription will have to be corrected by the company at its own expense. Until then, the new car will remain in the garage and will not hit the city streets. The whole event thus serves as a reminder that even a small detail can cause major complications, even for institutions such as the municipal police.
