Czech-German mass for good neighborly relations held in the Domažlice region
On Sunday, September 13, a traditional Czech-German Holy Mass took place at Veselá Hora near Domažlice. This spiritual event attracted believers from both sides of the border and became a meeting place for local residents and visitors from Germany.
The goal of this event is primarily to commemorate and strengthen good relations between the Czech and German nations. Veselá Hora near Domažlice has a long history and, thanks to its location near the border, is an ideal place for such international gatherings.
During the service, prayers were recited in both languages, which underscored the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation. Participants in the event appreciated the friendly atmosphere that prevailed at the site throughout the duration of the mass.
Similar initiatives help maintain lively contacts between neighboring regions. Organizers from the Diocese of Plzeň believe that the tradition of these joint masses will continue in the coming years and will continue to contribute to the good coexistence of Czechs and Germans.
