The National Institute of Public Health has presented the results of its 2025 research
The National Institute of Public Health (SZÚ) has published a new publication summarizing the most important scientific activities and research conducted during 2025. The goal of this report is to inform both the professional and lay public about progress in the field of public health protection and modern diagnostic methods.
One of the main topics of the publication is the assessment of the global impact of pneumococcal conjugate vaccines. The research focused on the effectiveness of ten- and thirteen-valent vaccines in the fight against invasive pneumococcal diseases, which can be very dangerous to human health.
In addition to vaccination, experts from the SZÚ also devoted themselves to the development of new technologies. A significant part of the report describes improvements to the digital PCR method, which allows for more accurate and faster detection of various pathogens. This innovation represents an important step for modern laboratory diagnostics in the Czech Republic.
The published results confirm that Czech research in the field of epidemiology and microbiology is keeping pace with global trends. The obtained data will help to better plan preventive measures and improve care for patients who are at risk of infectious diseases.
The entire publication is now available on the institute's website and serves as an important resource for further scientific work. The SZÚ plans to continue similar research activities in the coming period to ensure the highest possible level of protection for the health of the population.
