European Union has sent Ukraine the first billions of euros from a new loan
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen announced that Ukraine has received the first part of financial aid from an EU loan. The total amount that has now been sent is 3.2 billion euros, which is over 77 billion Czech crowns.
These funds are part of a broader European Union plan to support the Ukrainian economy and public administration during the ongoing war conflict. The financial aid is intended to help Kyiv ensure the basic functioning of the state and cover the most urgent expenses.
The Czech Republic, as a member state of the European Union, is actively participating in this aid. Support for Ukraine remains one of the priorities of Czech foreign policy, with the Czech government long emphasizing the importance of stability and security in the entire European region.
The European Commission plans to continue providing financial support in the coming months. The goal is to ensure that Ukraine has sufficient resources for the reconstruction of infrastructure and the maintenance of economic stability, which is important not only for the country itself but also for all of Europe.
