Czech Team CZERT EMT 1: Top-tier assistance in crisis situations
University Hospital Brno has introduced its specialized team called the Czech Emergency Response Team, abbreviated as CZERT EMT 1. This team is prepared to provide rapid and professional medical assistance in places where a sudden disaster or humanitarian crisis has occurred.
The unit consists of experts from many different medical fields. Its members include experienced surgeons and traumatologists who are capable of treating serious injuries. The team is further complemented by specialists in internal medicine, gynecology, and obstetrics, which allows for the provision of comprehensive care in challenging conditions.
In addition to basic medical care, the team is also equipped for pediatrics—the treatment of children—and intensive care medicine. Thanks to this broad focus, CZERT EMT 1 is able to function as an independent field hospital capable of saving lives immediately following the outbreak of a crisis event.
