Czech company develops new anti-drone system, headed to the Middle East
A new comprehensive system designed for defense against unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, has been introduced in the Czech Republic. The system is named Murmus and was developed by the Czech company Czechia Systems, which is part of the S-Tech group based in Rokycany.
The technology of the Murmus system is mobile and modular. This means it can be easily relocated to different sites and adapted to the specific needs of the user. The system is capable of detecting drones in time and subsequently taking action against them, a capability that is currently in high demand within the defense industry.
The first units of this modern equipment will soon leave the Czech Republic. Czechia Systems has confirmed that the initial deliveries of the Murmus system are headed to customers in the Middle East. The company has not yet released further information regarding specific details of the contract or which countries have purchased the system.
The development of this system demonstrates that the Czech defense industry holds a strong position on an international scale. Protection against drones is becoming a key component of security for many countries, and therefore the success of Czech engineers in this field is a significant step for domestic companies in the global market.
