Czechia is experiencing unusual weather: The west of the country is battling the cold, the east is dealing with heat
The Czech Republic is currently grappling with very contrasting temperatures. While residents in the west of Bohemia are having to pull out warmer clothing due to a noticeable cooling, the eastern part of the country is reporting tropical temperatures reaching up to thirty degrees Celsius.
Meteorologists explain this phenomenon as the result of a clash between two different air masses. A cold front is situated over the western part of the territory, bringing rainy weather and a drop in temperatures below the seasonal average. Conversely, warm air from the south continues to flow into the east of the country, maintaining a summer-like character to the weather.
This large temperature difference between Bohemia and Moravia is quite unusual for this time of year. Experts point out that such fluctuations can be challenging, especially for elderly people or individuals with cardiovascular problems, who must quickly adapt to changes in pressure and temperature.
The situation should begin to gradually unify in the coming days. According to forecasts, it should also cool down in the east of the country, where precipitation and storms are expected to arrive. On the other hand, it should gradually clear up in the west, and temperatures should return to more pleasant values.
Residents should monitor current warnings from the meteorological institute, especially due to the risk of strong storms that may accompany the passage of the cold front across the entire territory. It is also recommended to adjust clothing to the current weather developments in the given region.
