Volunteers in Bor cleaned up the castle park as part of the Let's Clean Up Czechia event
Residents of the town of Bor in the Tachov region took part in the nationwide initiative called Let's Clean Up Czechia this weekend. The goal of this popular volunteer event is to improve the state of the environment in municipalities and towns by having people work together to remove litter from public spaces and nature.
Not only local citizens but also professional firefighters actively participated in cleaning the castle park. The joint effort of volunteers and emergency responders helped clear large areas of the park, which is a popular place for walks for local families and visitors to the town.
Participants in the event collected dozens of kilograms of waste that does not belong in the park. In addition, the firefighters used their equipment and experience to help clean up harder-to-reach places and to transport the collected material to the collection yard.
The Let's Clean Up Czechia project takes place annually in many locations across the country. This activity shows how important cooperation is between local residents and the organizations that look after safety and order in a given locality.
The event in Bor was successful, and the organizers expressed their thanks to everyone who dedicated their free time to caring for the shared space. Thanks to this initiative, the castle park is now cleaner and ready for the upcoming spring and summer season.
