Europe is developing its own space shuttle: Czech companies are also significantly involved in the project
The European space industry is preparing for a major technological advancement. The European Space Agency (ESA) is working on the development of a new reusable spacecraft, which is intended to ensure independent transport of cargo into orbit and back to Earth in the future.
Czech experts are also significantly involved in this ambitious project. Czech companies and universities have developed and manufactured key components that are essential for the operation of the entire shuttle. The success of Czech engineers confirms that the domestic space industry is among the world's best.
The development of a reusable vessel is strategically important for Europe. Current rockets are destroyed after a single use, which increases the costs of space missions. The new craft will be reusable, which will significantly reduce the cost of space transport and enable more frequent scientific experiments.
The involvement of Czech entities in such a complex international project brings new technologies and experience to the Czech Republic. Cooperation with ESA opens doors for other Czech companies that want to establish themselves in the global market for aerospace technologies.
The entire project is now heading toward further testing phases. If the tests are successful, Europe will join the ranks of key players capable of utilizing the space above our planet efficiently and affordably.
