The Czech Republic hit by a tropical night, temperatures to rise further in the coming days
The Czech Republic is currently facing a significant warming trend, which has brought the first tropical night of this season. According to data from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI), temperatures in some locations did not drop below 20 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning.
Meteorologists recorded tropical values at several stations as early as the early morning hours. While temperatures across most of the territory ranged between 16 and 20 degrees, locations experiencing a so-called tropical night pose a significant burden for residents, as the air does not have enough time to cool down sufficiently at night.
The situation is unlikely to improve in the near future. Forecasts suggest that the coming nights will be even warmer than Thursday's. High temperatures will therefore accompany the residents of the Czech Republic throughout the remainder of the work week and into the upcoming weekend.
Experts therefore recommend monitoring current CHMI warnings and maintaining a proper hydration regimen. People should avoid excessive physical activity in direct sunlight and take care of their health, especially during the afternoon hours when temperatures reach their peak.
