Marital infidelity ignites Vienna: A Turk confronts a Syrian in a relationship with his wife, ending in bloody stabbings.
A violent brawl broke out on Saturday afternoon in the Favoriten district of Vienna after a confrontation between a 27-year-old Syrian man and a 48-year-old Turkish man over suspicions of infidelity. The dispute escalated into a knife fight, resulting in serious injuries to the Syrian man.
The police reported that the fight started around noon, and during the confrontation, the Syrian man pulled out a knife and tried to stab the Turkish man, who is believed to be the source of the initial dispute. The Turkish man managed to deflect one of the stabs, but both men fell to the ground, resulting in the Syrian being injured with several stabs.
Witnesses immediately reported to the authorities, and police and ambulance teams arrived at the scene. The 27-year-old victim received first aid and was taken to a hospital in Vienna, while the Turkish man sustained minor injuries. He denied using a knife against his opponent.

The two men have been placed in preventive custody by order of the Vienna Public Prosecutor's Office pending the final investigation results.
