Increase in Health and Education Allocations in Egypt's New General Budget
The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has announced the details of the state's general budget for the upcoming fiscal year, revealing plans to significantly increase spending on the health and education sectors. This step comes as part of the government's commitment to improving the level of basic services provided to citizens and developing the country's human infrastructure.
According to official data, allocations for the health sector are set to increase by 30%, while the education sector will see a 20% increase. This rise aims to support public hospitals, develop schools, and improve the quality of educational and medical services received by Egyptians across various governorates.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance indicated that total public state expenditures are expected to rise by 13.5% during the new fiscal year. This increase in expenditure comes to address global economic challenges and ensure the continued implementation of national and service projects aimed at improving the citizens' standard of living.
Through this budget, the government seeks to strike a delicate balance between rationalizing public spending and meeting the essential needs of society. The Ministry emphasizes that investment in health and education represents a top priority within the state's sustainable development strategy, which contributes to building a better future for coming generations in Egypt.
