Egypt explores strengthening cooperation with Danish companies in the medical device sector
The fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important meeting between the Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) and a delegation of major Danish companies. This meeting aimed to explore new opportunities for cooperation and investment in the fields of medical devices and supplies within the Egyptian market.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority, reviewed the significant developments currently taking place in Egypt's pharmaceutical and medical device sector. He emphasized the authority's ongoing efforts to improve the investment environment and facilitate procedures for international companies wishing to operate within the country.
For their part, representatives of the Danish companies expressed great interest in the Egyptian market, praising the notable growth in the health sector. The discussion addressed ways to transfer modern technology and exchange technical expertise, contributing to providing the best medical devices to Egyptian citizens.
This step comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's strategy to attract foreign investment and localize the medical supplies industry. These international partnerships are an essential part of Egypt's vision to develop the healthcare system and raise the efficiency of medical services provided in hospitals and treatment centers.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to maintain communication and form joint working groups to follow up on available opportunities. It is expected that these discussions will result in new projects that serve the healthcare sector in Egypt and support the national economy in the coming period.
