Egyptian Drug Authority strengthens medical cooperation with Sierra Leone during Africa Health ExCon
The events of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed a new step toward strengthening health relations between Egypt and the countries of the African continent. The Egyptian Drug Authority signed an official memorandum of understanding with the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, aiming to develop joint efforts in the pharmaceutical sector.
This agreement comes within the framework of Egypt's continuous efforts to exchange expertise with African nations in the field of drug regulation. The memorandum aims to enhance cooperation in areas of common interest, which helps improve the quality of pharmaceutical products and ensure their safety for citizens in both countries.
The new partnership also focuses on supporting the development of the pharmaceutical system through the exchange of regulatory and technical information. Through this cooperation, both authorities aspire to achieve greater integration between regulatory bodies, which contributes to facilitating the procedures for registering and circulating medicines between Egypt and Sierra Leone.
This cooperation is part of Egypt's broader strategy to enhance its leading role in the African health sector. It is expected that this memorandum will open new horizons for future cooperation, strengthening the ability of African countries to face health challenges and provide better medical care for their people.
