Launch of the "Best Buddies Egypt" program to support people with disabilities in 25 governorates
The "Qaderoon Bekhtelaf" Fund has announced the launch of the "Best Buddies Egypt" program across 25 Egyptian governorates, as part of ongoing national efforts to enhance the integration of people with disabilities into Egyptian society.
This program aims to train volunteers and equip them with the essential knowledge and skills that enable them to interact effectively and positively with people with disabilities. The program also seeks to create a supportive environment that contributes to improving their quality of life and facilitating their participation in daily activities.
The program includes the design and implementation of a series of awareness activities aimed at spreading a culture of inclusion across various governorates. These activities work to change societal perceptions toward people with disabilities and encourage citizens to interact with them as active and influential members of society.
This initiative comes as an important step within the state's strategy to empower people with disabilities and provide them with equal opportunities in education, work, and social life. The program is expected to contribute to building a wide network of volunteers capable of providing the necessary support across the country.
