New agricultural project to support 200,000 Egyptian farmers using technology
The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt has announced the launch of a new project titled "AgriTech for Egypt." This ambitious project aims to provide technical and technological support to approximately 200,000 farmers across the various governorates of the country, as part of the state's efforts to develop the agricultural sector.
The project relies primarily on the use of innovative technological solutions to help farmers face changing climatic challenges. Since these changes directly affect agricultural crops, the project seeks to provide modern tools that help farmers protect their crops and ensure the continuity of production.
In addition to the technical aspect, the project focuses on two important economic goals: reducing agricultural production costs and increasing crop yields. By implementing these modern methods, those in charge of the project hope to improve the standard of living for farmers and increase the efficiency of agricultural land in Egypt.
This step comes as part of a broader strategy adopted by the Ministry of Agriculture to enhance food security in the country. The project is expected to contribute to raising awareness among farmers about the importance of smart agriculture, which relies on science and technology to ensure a better future for Egyptian agriculture.
