New Agricultural Project to Support 200,000 Egyptian Farmers Using Technology
The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt has announced the launch of a new project titled "Agri-Tech for Egypt." This ambitious project aims to provide technical and agricultural support to approximately 200,000 farmers across various Egyptian governorates, as part of the state's efforts to develop the agricultural sector.
The project relies primarily on providing innovative agricultural solutions that help farmers face the challenges resulting from climate change, which affects crops. By using modern scientific methods, the project seeks to protect agricultural land and ensure production sustainability amidst volatile weather conditions.
The project also focuses on improving field work efficiency by reducing production costs, such as minimizing water and fertilizer consumption, while simultaneously working to increase the quantity and quality of crops. These steps aim to improve the standard of living for farmers and increase their annual income.
This project comes as part of Egypt's strategy to enhance food security and rely on modern technology in agriculture. It is expected that the implementation of these techniques will contribute to developing traditional irrigation and farming methods, making the agricultural sector more competitive and capable of meeting local market needs.
