New Collaboration Between Huawei and AIS to Manufacture Energy Storage Systems in Egypt
Global company Huawei has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian company AIS to begin manufacturing battery energy storage systems locally in Egypt. This step aims to develop the country's energy sector and enhance Egypt's position as a leading regional hub in the field of renewable energy and modern technology.
This strategic partnership focuses on advanced technologies known as "Grid-Forming." These systems play a vital role in maintaining the stability of the electrical grid, especially with the increasing reliance on clean energy sources such as solar and wind, ensuring the provision of stable and secure energy for homes and industrial projects.
The move toward local manufacturing is considered one of the most important goals of this agreement. Instead of importing this complex technology from abroad, it will be produced within Egyptian factories, contributing to supporting the national economy and providing new job opportunities for youth, in addition to transferring global technical expertise to Egyptian engineers and technicians.
