Egypt affirms its solidarity with Saudi Arabia and condemns the attack on a commercial vessel
The Arab Republic of Egypt has reiterated its firm position in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following an attack on a Saudi vessel at sea. In an official statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its categorical rejection of such acts that threaten the security of international navigation.
This move comes within the framework of the strong strategic relations between Cairo and Riyadh. In its statement, Egypt clarified that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of Egypt and the entire Middle East region, emphasizing the necessity of protecting global trade routes from any external threats.
Egypt also called on the international community to take firm steps against any attacks targeting commercial vessels, asserting that these attacks hinder the movement of international trade and negatively affect the stability of the global economy. Cairo pointed to the importance of adhering to international laws that guarantee the safety of seas and oceans.
These statements confirm the Egyptian leadership's commitment to continuous coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on various regional issues. Egypt continues to monitor security developments in the region to ensure the stability of maritime navigation, especially in vital areas such as the Red Sea, which represents a primary artery for both Egyptian and global trade.
