Egypt is currently witnessing significant economic activity as the state seeks to strengthen its position as one of the most important investment destinations in the Middle East and Africa. In this context, the "Business Connect" initiative between Belgium and Egypt for 2026 was announced, reflecting growing international confidence in the Egyptian market and its ability to attract foreign capital and develop sustainable economic partnerships.
In the real estate and finance sectors, "Misr Italia Holding" announced a massive investment plan worth 8 billion Egyptian pounds to develop extensive residential, commercial, and tourism projects. Additionally, the Egyptian capital market is preparing to welcome "Gourmet Egypt," a food company that intends to list more than 47% of its shares on the Egyptian Exchange. On another note, ADIB Egypt achieved great success by winning 45 international awards, confirming the strength and stability of the country's banking sector.
Regarding regional and technological cooperation, 12 Omani brands have begun expanding into the Egyptian market through the franchise system. In the technology field, "Huawei Cloud" launched advanced artificial intelligence services to support companies in Egypt, while the global company "Comba Telecom" chose Egypt to be a hub for its regional growth, reinforcing the country's status as a leading center for technology and innovation in the region.
To support this rapid growth, the Egyptian government is working to facilitate procedures for the business community. The Minister of Finance announced the formation of a permanent committee in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce to provide new tax and customs facilities. These steps aim to overcome obstacles for investors and encourage the private sector to participate effectively in economic development.
These diverse economic movements, covering the technology, real estate, and food sectors, promise a bright future for the Egyptian economy. They not only contribute to creating new job opportunities for youth but also work to improve the quality of services and products available in the local market, thereby enhancing the stability and growth of the national economy in the coming years.
