New Collaboration Between Huawei and AIS to Manufacture Energy Storage Systems in Egypt
Global company Huawei and the Egyptian company AIS have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the local manufacturing of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Egypt. This step comes within the framework of the Egyptian state's efforts toward digital transformation and the development of the renewable energy sector.
This partnership relies on Huawei's expertise in advanced technology, in cooperation with AIS's manufacturing capabilities. The initiative aims to localize the energy storage systems industry, which will help improve the stability of the country's electrical grid.
This step is part of Egypt's strategy to increase reliance on clean energy and reduce carbon emissions. It is expected that this collaboration will contribute to providing innovative energy solutions that support national projects and meet the local market's electricity needs in a sustainable manner.
This agreement underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in attracting foreign investment to Egypt. It also strengthens Egypt's position as a leading regional hub for energy technology and renewable energy in the Middle East and Africa.
