Egypt explores cooperation opportunities with Danish companies to develop the medical sector
The fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed an important meeting between the head of the Egyptian Drug Authority and a delegation of Danish companies. This meeting aims to enhance joint cooperation and open new horizons for investment in the field of medical devices and supplies within the Egyptian market.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, head of the Egyptian Drug Authority, reviewed the significant developments currently taking place in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies sector in Egypt. He emphasized the importance of these international partnerships in supporting the state's efforts to develop health infrastructure and provide the latest medical technologies to citizens.
Both parties also discussed opportunities for exchanging technological expertise between Egypt and Denmark, particularly in the fields of manufacturing advanced medical devices. The Danish delegation indicated their great interest in the Egyptian market, given its potential that makes it a vital regional hub on the African continent.
This step comes within the framework of Egypt's strategy to attract foreign investment in the health sector, which contributes to localizing medical industries and reducing reliance on imports. It is expected that these discussions will result in new agreements that will enhance the efficiency of medical services provided in Egyptian hospitals in the coming period.
