Egyptian Drug Authority Strengthens Cooperation with Sierra Leone during Africa Health ExCon
The activities of the fifth edition of the Africa Health ExCon 2026 witnessed a new step toward enhancing health cooperation between Egypt and African nations. The Egyptian Drug Authority signed an official memorandum of understanding with the Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, aiming to consolidate relations in the pharmaceutical sector.
This memorandum comes within the framework of Egypt's commitment to exchanging expertise with its brothers on the African continent. The agreement aims to strengthen regulatory and supervisory cooperation, which contributes to ensuring the quality and safety of medicines circulated in both countries.
Through this cooperation, both parties also seek to support the development of the pharmaceutical system in general and to facilitate joint procedures between the relevant authorities. This approach is part of Egypt's strategy to enhance African health integration and open new horizons for cooperation in areas of common interest.
It is noteworthy that the Africa Health ExCon serves as an important platform that brings together experts and officials from various countries to discuss the challenges of the health sector. This partnership is expected to contribute to improving pharmaceutical services and supporting sustainable development in the medical sector between Egypt and Sierra Leone.
