Egyptian Government Announces Additional Cash Support for Millions of Citizens on Ration Cards
The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has announced a new decision aimed at supporting low-income families across the country. This decision includes providing additional cash support of 400 EGP on ration cards to help citizens face current economic challenges and meet their basic needs.
According to the official statement issued by the Ministry, approximately 10 million Egyptian families will benefit from this new support. The number of citizens covered by this increase is estimated at about 25 million people, reflecting the state's commitment to expanding the scope of social protection to reach as many eligible recipients as possible.
The implementation mechanism relies on adding the financial amount directly to the balance available on each family's ration card. Citizens can use this increase to purchase food commodities and essential products from consumer complexes and supply outlets spread across various Egyptian governorates.
This step comes as part of the government's ongoing efforts to alleviate financial burdens on citizens and improve their standard of living.
