14,486 Jobs at Cairo Forum Today for Youth from 4 Governorates
The activities of the Second National Employment Forum kicked off this morning, Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the headquarters of the Egyptian Chinese University in the Gesr El Suez area of Cairo. The event features the participation of approximately 80 private and investment sector companies offering 14,486 job opportunities. The event was inaugurated by Minister of Labor Hassan Redad, Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber, and the university president, Dr. Rasha El-Kholy. The forum is aimed at job seekers from the governorates of Cairo, Giza, Qalyubia, and Sharqia, as part of what the ministry calls an integrated employment policy between neighboring governorates.
Not all of the opportunities offered require higher education degrees, which is what makes this forum valuable for those seeking quick income: 2,959 opportunities in production and services, 1,698 for customer service representatives, 651 for security personnel, 635 for technicians, 577 for engineers, 513 for sales representatives, 512 for chefs, 443 for cashiers, 379 for drivers, 334 for salespersons, 264 for warehouse keepers, and 138 for stewards, in addition to 54 administrative positions and 41 for accountants. The forum also witnessed the handing over of employment contracts to a number of people with disabilities and the distribution of certificates for vocational training programs. The Minister of Labor stated that "possessing skills has become an essential element for entering the labor market."
Applications are being processed face-to-face at the forum with company representatives, not online, which means that attending in person is the primary requirement for participation. The Ministry of Labor has not yet announced a specific end date for the event; therefore, those intending to apply are advised to head there today. If you are unable to do so, you can contact your local labor directorate to inquire about the forum's continuation and any future forums.
Before heading out, prepare several copies of your resume, copies of your educational qualifications, and your national ID card. Identify in advance the jobs that suit your qualifications and experience rather than applying for everything on offer. Finally, a note worth paying attention to: employment services provided by the ministry through labor directorates and employment offices are free of charge. If any intermediary asks you for money in exchange for guaranteeing a job at the forum, this is not part of the official system.
