New Agricultural Project to Support 200,000 Egyptian Farmers Using Technology
The Agricultural Research Center in Egypt has announced the launch of a new project titled "AgriTech for Egypt." This ambitious project aims to provide technical and agricultural support to approximately 200,000 farmers across the various governorates of the country, as part of the state's efforts to develop the agricultural sector.
The project relies primarily on providing innovative and modern solutions to address the challenges posed by climate change to agricultural crops. Through the use of these technologies, those in charge of the project seek to help farmers adapt to the changing weather conditions that affect productivity.
In addition to the technical aspect, the project focuses on achieving tangible economic benefits for farmers. Among the most important of these goals is reducing agricultural production costs, such as decreasing water and fertilizer consumption, while simultaneously working to increase the quantity and quality of the produced crops.
This step comes as part of Egypt's strategy to enhance food security and support small-scale farmers. It is expected that this collaboration between the Agricultural Research Center and the project will contribute to improving the standard of living for farmers and increasing the efficiency of agricultural land in Egypt during the coming period.
